My name is Byron Whitaker and I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. My first job was working on a tobacco farm and I learned at an early age what hard work and work ethics was all about. I have lived all over the United States and worked in the automotive industry for around 25 years. In 2015 my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer therefore she was out of work. Both of us were as stressed as anyone could imagine worried about her health, our future, and our finances. Shortly after her diagnosis, I was approached by the broker whom we purchased our house through in Arizona. He had no idea of our situation when he asked if I ever thought about getting into real estate. I told him that I had been approached many times over the years but I was not interested. Later that evening when I got home I told my wife about the conversation and she said well you have been praying for doors to open. All you have to do is walk through it so I did. My career took off making this a life-changing decision for both of us. It allowed me to provide for my family and to work from home so that I could help my wife if she needed me. The hours were long but the flexible schedule made it doable. I started out working real estate as a second full-time job and after several months I made it my only job. Since then I expanded my business from Arizona to Iowa and Oklahoma. I have worked with buyers, sellers, and investors from all over the world. Real Estate was a perfect fit for me because I am a genuine people person and value my friendships. I enjoy working with people and getting to know them and their families. My work ethic, core values, and work relationships that I have formed over the years are a huge strength for me and my clients. I have also worked hard to find and surround myself with some of the best lenders, title agents, inspectors, etc. so that my clients have a great experience. When I list a property I do more than just put it on the MLS. I preview the property and advise my clients of any changes that may help the property appeal to more buyers. I also advertise my listings on multiple social media platforms. Some of these social media platforms allow me to target specific cities or towns where we have buyers moving out of and into our state. The real estate market is always changing and I feel that we have to change with it to represent our clients in the best way. When working with buyers I see what their needs are and help them through every step of the process. From first-time home buyers to experienced buyers. I am very appreciative of every opportunity and work very hard for my clients to get the results they want so that they can move forward in their journey. At the end of the day, I hope that not only did I have a happy client but made a new friend!
